Great News 🙂 We are delighted to let you know that the Mulranny Towards 2030 (DZ) Group have been notified that their grant application to the Community Climate Action Fund for the following projects has been successful:
**Solar PV Roof Installations for
St. Brendan's,
The Amenity Centre,
The Old Irish Goat Centre & Gift of Hands Studio.
Plus
**An EV Charger for the village
and
**A full LED Lighting upgrade for the Amenity Centre.
The Solar PV installations will provide renewable energy and will help with the energy costs of all of the mentioned community groups. The LED lighting upgrade will reduce bills further for the Amenity Centre and an EV Charger will be a great addition to the village. Well done to all concerned!

Can you spare a moment to help Mulranny Community improve Pedestrain Access to Mulranny Blue Flag Beach and Pier via Cushlecka/Corraun Road.

Mulranny is a community known for its natural beauty, particularly our Blue Flag Beach and Pier. However, the current access route via the Causeway Steps is unsuitable for families with pushchairs, physically or visually impaired individuals and cyclists.

This has led to pedestrians and cyclists opting to use the Cushlecka/Corraun Road, the main vehicular route to the beach. Also locals and visitors alike enjoy walking the Loop from the village, down the Causeway Steps, along the beach, and returning to the village via the Cushlecka Road.

Unfortunately, this road is narrow, has several dangerous bends and poses a serious risk to everyone who travels along it and it is an accident waiting to happen. With many near misses already reported, it’s clear that immediate action is needed to prevent a tragedy.

We are hereby calling upon the relevant authorities to review and address this pressing issue promptly.

By signing this petition, you are helping us advocate for:

- Safer pedestrian and cycling access to the beach and pier

- Improved inclusivity for families with pushchairs, individuals with physical disabilities and cyclists

- Reducing the risk of accidents along Cushlecka/Corraun Road.

Together, we can create a more inclusive, user-friendly and safe village, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the beauty and outdoor amenities of our community safely.

Mulranny Tidy Towns needs our help!!
Why not get involved and help our lovely village become Ireland's Best Kept Town 2024. All the details are below. 'Together' we can do it!Mulranny Village has the honour of being selected to participate in Ireland"s Best Kept Town 2024 Competition - an all Ireland initiative, and adjudication for this competition will take place during the month of May. The Mulranny Tidy Towns Committee have organised a Clean Up Week from Monday next 22nd to Friday 26th April to prepare the village for the competition. They need our help and are asking the whole community to get out in force and help in any way you can. Why not get into the community spirit and go along to any, or all, evenings to help weed, sweep, wash, pick litter, plant or paint. Or get your hanging baskets or plant boxes out early. The sunshine is coming 🌞 - make the most of it next week and make a difference in your community.
